hey A - did your crew lose a pair of skins at red lake on friday? they were on the jeep road and now they are at Divided Sky trying to find their owner. looked like ski skins.

Phillip, looks like you were riding in my front yard, looking nice up high. Can't wait to skin right from my deck in a few days! Was outta town last week, so missed out on that fun, but good day near Rose yesterday, a little yoga and stretching today, and then it's fucking on! WOOOOO-HOOOOOO!!!! Tis the season for slaying pow, happy holidays and be safe y'all!

As we summited our west shore ridge today, it started puking. We did one long lap and then cruised home. It looked like the storm was going to swing north, but part of it rolled over us today.

The good news is that you don't have to climb up far from lake level to find the goods. The bad news is you had better be on pretty steep terrain not to get totally bogged down in f'ing deep pow and setting the uptrack is a biatch.

had my share of trail breaking and getting disoriented in the storm on a familiar uptrack

We rode inbounds at Homewood yesterday which was AWESOME! Freshie on every lap and we slid right to the chair on each run. Nice.

Today it was back up the West Shore Ridge-of-Convenience (right behind the house) where we had the lovely good fortune to run into fustercluck. We did a lap with him and then did about four more for good measure. As we left, it started to snow again. Tomorrow we need to go pack down our skin track again.

Thank heaven enough of our skin track was still there after the last storm to offer 'easy' climbing:

Another night, another big dump. We headed out again to our west shore ridge today hoping to find some of our skin track so we could pack it down again, but all there was was a faint furrow in otherwise heaping pow. Bummer. Not afraid of a little exercise, we headed up and packed it in again.

It should settle a bit by tomorrow so that we can get a few faster runs in.

Good to meet you, Phillip. Super deep today, lots of work just to break trail until I hit your track. Not really able to turn today, but managed to send my second lap straight to my driveway (first time I've pulled that off). Stony Range should be straight up off the meat rack tomorrow!

hey hey, did ya'll miss the tahoe adventure film festival in south lake tahoe this month?
there are several road tour dates, 2 days in Mammoth in March and friday, February 1 in Petaluma.

Another beautiful day to be out in the tahoe BC... I love it when Emerald bay road is closed, keeps all the North shore riff raf away from "the goods"
