Has anyone noticed the steel shank in the sole getting freezing cold and numbing their feet other than me?
Every time I have been out so far, four or five hours into the day I can no longer feel my feet and it feels like something is digging through my insole into my foot. After talking to the guy at World Boards, he confirmed that there is a steel shank in the boots and that that is probably what I am feeling. If anyone has a solution for this, PLEASE let me know. It has been killing my feet and cutting my days short...
I have last year's K2 Thraxis boots. I love them. They are very comfortable, durable and warm. Some people wince at the boa system wondering what sort of creek they will be up if the wire were to snap. The Thraxis has 3 boas on each boot! So, you can be rest assured that if there were any problems, you'd still be able to tighten the boot. In addition to the boas there is another strap over the boot liner. My only gripe with the boots is that I can't remember which boa controls what (1 for internal liner, 1 for top outside, 1 for bottom outside), but you just crank them all up to your satisfaction!
So I bought size 12 mens in the Deeluxe XV. I own the Spark Burner bindings. These are too large to fit into the Burner binding ankle straps without a lot of effort. Has anyone else had this issue, and what is the workaround? Thanks.
