5th season in the Wasatch, though first bc season. Took a level I/II course @ the U in '03.
Only been in Millcreek (LWP), Silver Fork and Flagstaff areas this winter though I've hiked around a good amount (Timp/Nebo/Lone/Gobblers/etc.).
Up for full day tours on weekends but am unreliable during the week since it's early

Hey. I finally decided to register here after creeping for a few months.
This is my 3rd season in Utah, originally from Chicago. I used snowshoes to tour my first 2 seasons , mostly in the spring/summer. This fall I built a split as the resort scene is getting more and more unbearable.
Most of my time has been spent in the Willow Fork, Mill D North areas and Brighton periphery so far but Im looking to expand.
I am off work for couple months during the winter so I get after quite a bit during the week. Once early spring comes I go back to a somewhat flexible day job.

This week is looking good for some snow and potentially some tours. I'm off today, Saturday and Sunday for getting after it. PM me if you're looking to go out.

I get in about 50 full days a year, am consistently out every Saturday and often one other day a week. Dawn Patrol a couple times a week once we get some more snow.
About me: Splitboarding since '02, snowboarding since '87 38 years old Married for 12 years, two children. Indoctrinated member of the Corporate Grind, work in IT for a Financial Services company.
Favorite Wasatch shots are Coalpit and West Couloir(Kessler). Have a pretty good group of guys I get out with regularly that are a mix of boarders, skiers, and a tele guy.
I tend to avoid lines with mandatory rope work and prefer longer days. I'm happy to include others from the forums and have done so many times over the years. However.... be prepared for an 8-12k day at a pretty solid pace but I probably won't make you do all of the trailbreaking

YURT TRIP - Sunday 2/10 - Tuesday 2/12
With the latest storm forecasted to track South, " Right now I think 1-2 feet is possible for the high elevations of Southern Utah. The Wasatch and Uintas to the north stand to see 6-12″ by Sunday." WSF., we're on the move.
We have a spot or two open for a couple of adventurers. If you're interested We're always stoked to meet new people who are motivated to get after it and have a great time!
PM me here if you're interested. I will share all the details and amounts after we talk a bit.

And yeah, I think you're choosing a good time to hit a yurt, enjoy that if I don;t see ya.

Thanks for the replies. The yurt trip was a huge success! We topped out on Delano on Monday with slightly breezy conditions and scattered high elevation clouds. The terrain received 16" overall. It was truly sweet to be on such massive & new terrain. We toured around the base of Delano and Bald Shelly for a great intro to the area. We have another yurt trip planned to the Uintas or La Sals this month and next month if anyone wants to jump in. Seeing we mostly work Wed-Sun, it's looking like another Sun-Tues combination of days. PM me if you're interested in hearing about the next one.

need to know what setup you're riding first. perhaps you could put it in your signature and we can assess things then....
