Whoa, very nice, thanks Barrows. I just last night watched episode 6 of Balance, also with Joey Vosburgh, from the Trapper homepage. His riding is incredible, but what really stood out to me in this video was the skinning at about 1:06 to 1:15, those long strides. Last week I took an avy level 1. I was the only snowboarder, everyone else were AT and tele guys. I had no problem keeping up on the descents but I noticed that skinning they had a huge advantage over me. Even when I put my highbacks as far as they go, neg 15 or whatever, my boots still wouldn't let me take long forward strides. I guess tour mode in a boot is a nice thing to have. Anyway, thanks for posting, nice lunchtime video.

If all I did was float around in pow all day I probably would still be riding HB's. But in AK's coastal wind-scoured crust, it was just F'ing awful to ride the buckin' bronco.
Softies all the way.
Awesome vid though.

Thanks for the love guys. Kelsey from Lee visual and I worked really hard to get these shots. All touring based and he has a lot of camera gear! Im not here to preach the benefits of hard shell boots, I call them mountain boots cause its got a better ring with no stigma's attached. But i am here to say try it. And dont use a pair of snowboard race boots or a ski boot or even a stock ski touring boot. Get the proper boot and do the necessary mods and bam... a hardshell boot with soft boot qualities. You will not regret it. Way lighter on the up, better stride, quicker transitions, easier to ski and edge that windpack or ice. I could go on but I wont... Thanks for watching Lee Visuals Balance series and the kind words.
Thanks Barrows. I have been here a few other times, i even have a few TR's up somewhere in here. Thanks for posting this and the hook up with Phantom. Cant believe how rad this binding is! Have a good one out there!!
