Pre Season Shredden the Wasatch

I thought I would chime in with some Wasatch stoke as we got a pretty nice storm a couple weeks back. Some of the pics are dreaded double post from the Utah thread, sorry. We got a huge dump perfect base type snow that left right side up. Things were stable for the most part.

Got a pretty big cornice to go, nothing moved. It was tempting to hit this line but when it snows this much in a day best to give it a day to set-up.

More important things.

Came back to that line a week or so later. Winds were cross loading the slope, obvious pockets of wind slab. Played it safe, skipping a fun line lookers right and just followed my first track down on lap two.

It's been a couple weeks since the big storm. S facing exits are sketch, but I've been finding good snow up high.

I kept looking over at this face that looked to good to be true. Snow was variable, most had a breakable wind skin/surface crust. On my way out I went and poked around and put a small line down the face to check the snow thinking it was probably no good. But to my surprise it was really good. So headed back up there the next day and lapped the shit out of it.

Not trying to rub it in but man it was as fun and goooood as it looks. Take care everyone.

nice photos, nice vid - that little mini-couloir towards the end looked fun, loved the airs.

This is what splitboarding is all about for me, let's go get some great lines, but live to "split" another day!
