So here is my problem. I want to do a lot of riding up in the Stevens area, from BC to resort days but I live just annoying-ly far to do multiple days in a row (80 miles).
Does anyone know of an "adirondack" shelter in that area (made by the forest service, usually has a roof and 3 walls) or something similar that would make for a good occasional overnighter? I am short a 4 season tent which is why I want a shelter of some type.
Does anyone have any good ideas or advice? Or has anyone out there tried this before??

Mountaineers Lodge at the pass has dorm-style bunks, heat, drying area for gear, showers, etc. http://www.mountaineers.org/StevensLodge/ Open friday-saturday-sunday most weekends and longer during some holiday stretches. $85 plus helping with chores gets a non-member friday + saturday night, two breakfasts, and one dinner - good way to get three days in.
If you can beg/borrow an RV or trailer, they also have RV parking with hookups at the pass. $30 a night, though.
