Hey there after 4 years of hard riding my 164 burton custom x is toast... ive counted 30+ core shots and another 8 edge breaks the last two are completely unfixable. Well at least she went out on a pillow line...in november no less!!! Anyways looking for a new resort board for everyday riding, already have a hovercraft for pow days, and a skate banana for days im riding in the river valley in town, looking for a big mountain charger riding chutes and steep slopes. I have thought of the neversummer raptor as well as a venture odin. I just want something that will put up with a beating.

I recommend you befriend a good shop and rape there demo fleet. For myself it was a game changer, you can really tune in on the subtle differences from one board to another. Pick the shop employees brains on what and why they ride what they do. Most shops will give you free reign if you purchase from them. Good luck on the hunt.
My suggestion would be a J Lynn or a T Rice for what its worth. For myself the T Rice is a little stiff, but the Pheonix was an awesome solid and its my favorite split now.
