I've got a Solution right now and I want to supplement it or possibly even replace it with a split with traditional camber. I went with the Solution because I wanted a split that would be capable in all conditions, but I've found that I'm not completely sold on rocker. To be completely honest, the board feels absolutely terrible to me on icy steeps, not a fan of how loose it rides.

Does anyone make a split with traditional camber anymore? I'd like a new board for the warranty factor, but I'd prefer to not have to shell out the cash for a custom split.

Winterstick comes to mind they are essentially custom. Each one is hand-built and could be changed specifically for you or off the rack if you wish. Very very nice stuff if your not familiar, and ideal on icy steeps or burly lines.

I have a solution as well. I'm used to full camber extremely stiff (many BX) boards (F2 Eliminator WorldCup, Palmer Channel Titanium...)/

The solution is way better in powder (rocker...just rocks! ) but it's true that on ice it's not as good as most of my BX boards. I've had quite a few splitboards in the past decade and the big problem with most of them was that they were not stiff enough. The solution was the 1st splitboard I really enjoyed as much as my resort boards when charging full speed. This year I'm going with the carbon solution which stiffness is comparable to my stiffest BX boards.

After stiffness, camber was the other "problem", while rocker is good in powder (I was not sold on it at first but I have to admit that I really like riding with my feet in the "reference stance" pattern without putting all my weigh on the back leg in powder...), I didn't like it much on steep icy slopes/couloirs. That's why I'm planning to buy another old board I really liked (such as the 2004 F2 Eliminator LTD) for EUR 50 or so and splitting it for early season/late season snow (that's when I mostly have the icy/crappy conditions). This way I'll really enjoy splitting in icy conditions and I don't care if I break the board on rocks (early/late season snow cover sucks...).

if you're riding mostly in powder, I wouldn't advise you to get rid of your current rocker split and going full camber (actually that may be of if you're getting a 10-15cm longer board). If you only have a few days per year of crappy conditions, just get a cheap camber board, similar length as your solution, split it and borrow your hardware from your current split when you need to use it (total cost, less that $100 board included...).

also LTB Snowboards, and if I'm not mistaken the Chimera Mace is also a cambered board.

Prior will do a traditional camber board for you, costs the same. They have camber between the feet right now with a little kick in the front and back.
