anything up smith dorian has ultra sporty approach right now and most potential spots (tryst ext...) have already been skied. highwood seems to be the winner right now. Still some spots that haven't been ridden

good to know. May have to venture deeper up at Highwood then. The past few weeks have been good due to the lack of people out there.

Sorry for this info being a day old fellas. I was out on Friday checking out a few locations to get some info to share. As Jayb said, its certainly sporty in spots. The skin track to Tryst was pretty crusty and looks well used. I didn't actually head up but rather chose to head up commonwealth creek and under the Fist and Smuts. Great skinning all the way up to the flats where there is a lot of wind affect. The bottom 1/3 of the slopes under both Fist and Smuts is very wind scoured and wouldn't be worth the effort to get up there. Commonwealth Creek, even up in the flats is not totally frozen so take care when crossing any of the water hazards

Black Prince looked crap and thin from the road. There was also a Momma bear and cub spotted on the 15th in the Black Prince area.

I looked at Mt Sparrowhawk and all the ridgetops close by are bare (as of Friday)

Lastly, in highwood, all of the objectives past (south of) Mt Lipsette are bare.

pretty windy up at highwood today, tree's were killer, knee deep fresh and lots more on the way!

Hey a new splitter here from calgary looking for people to join up with to try and conquer as much ground this winter. Ive been riding for 15 yeasrs and i have rode the backcountry a little bit on sleds and some cat skiing but have not really toured much. Ride some slackcountry here and there, mostly at kicking horse, and am looking to join up with anyone that is willing to head out with a newbie. I'm a fast learner and am very eager, and I am so stoked for this season. I work mon -Friday but can take powder days from work on occasion so shoot me a pm if you'd be willing to let me join ya on a day out.

Nov 20th up at Fortress. Fantastic snow. Video is kind of lame cus I was coming over the side there with a ton of speed, then noticed the camera wasn't running and stopped to wait.

" Report into the Forecasting Office late this afternoon of a large avalanche on the Rae Glacier sometime in the last 2 days. Fracture depth described as 200cm. Slide occurred on a N aspect at approximately 2600m. Trigger is unknown. We hope to investigate tomorrow and will post any updated info. "
