I think that such a small size splitboard is not doable. You must consider length of the board vs. stance and the amount of space needed for touring mode brackets and risers between the ride mode interface.
I think somebody made a calculation here in the past and the smallest doable splitboard was in the higher 140's.
As I know, smallest production splitboard is the Prior Lupin splitboard at 147cm

How old is he? I am 14 and ride a full size Burton Freebird... Maybe a 145-154 size range would be more appropriate... especailly in the B/C

121 is the smallest I've made.
You just need to make the slider plates shorter.
I've got a load more smaller boards, pitty they are all in Australia.

Cheers

11 years old, weighs 80 #. Thinking 140's is starting to get too long for him. Guess it's gonna be me pulling a very waxed sled up the hill, meh..I need the training for denali sled pulling anyway...

Thats sick! An eleven-year-old in the Backcountry, and I thougth I was young. I would look at what firstlight is doing he seems to have it together. Also, What board does he ride in bounds? When I started splitting it took me awhile to get used to the slice in the middle of the board in ride mode. It helped me A TON to be on a familiar flex, bend, and length.

Odd weight specs to on the Burton vs the Prior..

the Lupin (w/ it being a Women's board) is geared towards rider weights of 80-120..the Burton 148 spliff is 140-190. Odd, maybe I'll have to be on the lookout for the Lupin. Thanks all to whom replied.

He rides a Forum Jeremy Jones (older board) 130cm and a Danny Kass gnu mini (125cm) inbounds. Got the Jones for him specifically for those powder days which is what I was thinking to use as his DIY split (after hopefully finding another one used out there somewhere). Yah gonna check out firstlight's stuff, but I bet shipping to US would SUCK! :D..
