Glad to hear this turned out on a positive note.

Huge Props to the rescuers, those guys (and gals) are man-imals!

I'm glad everyone made it out OK. Hopefully the two who got stuck will be better prepared next time.

The picture shows the SAR skinning. I don't get how it could take so long to get to these guys when they know where they are, and to have turned back when they spotted them less than a half mile away. Obviously I wasn't there and don't know the circumstances, but they make camp muir sound like everest or something. Just goes to show what can happen if you're inexperienced and unprepared.

Agreed Spicolli... Hope those guys make it out.

This is a total arm chair observation....I notice you guys rockin pretty small packs? Is it a far stretch to assume there's no bivy, proper 1st aid kit/rescue gear, or insulation layer in your packs?

Good on you for making it out of there before storm came in.

I had all of that. Call me over prepared but whenever I go somewhere I'm not familiar with I always plan on spending the night (emergency situations).
