So i am having an issue with my DIY splitboard. The problem is with turning. I will be on my board, flat based, and it will be difficult to initiate a turn. Once the turn is initiated, the board will make little progress with regards to turning. Then all of a sudden the tail will slide out drastically. Has anyone ever had this problem or something similar? I have been riding for many years and have no problem turning (both by carving on edge and sliding- as in a non carving turn) so i do not think it is my riding ability.

Any info would be appreciated.

Sound like you could be in front of the sweet spot. Try moving your bindings back more and shift your weight to the rear to hold the edge down.

The board is a twin tip and i have my set up centered. Will give it a shot thought, cant hurt Thanks!

Are your feet centered (edge to edge)? Did you get a good grind / structure after the DIY process?

Board is too soft?

I've experiences similar issues with toe/heel drag when switching to boards that were narrower than what I was used to.
