Great pics Dave. I always forget how fun/miserable winter camping is. The highlight of the night for me was waking up sometime in the wee hours thirsty. I picked up my Nalgene which was partially frozen, and groggily tipped it up to my mouth. Unbeknownst to me a nice ice dam had formed in the mouth of the bottle. I tipped the bottle further an further up, wondering why no gatorade was coming out until the ice dam catastrophically failed, draining half a liter of near-frozen gatorade down my face, chest and back and into my sleeping bag. Other than that, awesome trip. Making pow turns by nothing but moonlight is highly recommended.

Well done! Those pics/ the trip in general is epic! I got out on Friday morn at Brighton and made a few turns. Snow was light and sweet, but not nearly as deep as Snowbasin
Yea it was super good getting out with everyone. Wasn't expecting to do as much vert as we did but sure glad we did. Due to moving and such I haven't gotten a chance to look and see if I took any good photos or not.
Kelly yea I tried killing myself. Apparently, you really need to make sure you are dropping into the correct chute. Some chutes cliff out while others do not. Let's just say I wasn't as far over as I thought I was. Luckily Doug yelled at me and warned me to stop! Could have ended badly for me.
Finally got around to editing photos. I blame moving and buying a house on why it took so long.
The sunrise from the ridge
Everyone skinning up. I started to lag behind since I was concerned about my dumb college football team.
Was in the wrong chute. I thought I was further skiers left than I was. This one cliffed out and not just a blind rollover like I had hoped. Thanks again Doug for saving me!
Looks like we have a nice storm on our doorstep. Already have over an inch in east layton. Monte cristo snowtel is reporting 12inches. Looks like it might be another more northern dump at least with this first wave. Sounds like lake effect is going to play a big part. Anyone planning on getting out?
