So my wife and I just booked a trip to Ireland around St patty's day and I'm wondering if its worth bringing my gear. We'll have a rental car and are going to be cruising around the island, I tried to look into it on google but the options seemed pretty bleak.

If you're desperate for snow the west coast of Scotland is a ferry away. You could then hit up Glencoe or Nevis Range resorts or surrounding backcountry
Scotland is very hit or miss unfortunately
Last season we had a reasonable amount of snow from mid December til around new year then nothing again until April!! Thankfully it ran through til late May time........
Boozing and enjoying the scenery/people may be the easiest and most rewarding use of your time

Thanks for the advise. We're fling into Dublin and driving around the country for a little over a week. Both those spots are on our hit list.

Thanks, I think we're just gonna stay in Ireland. I would like to go to Scotland and England, but I think that'll be another trip. I think I'm gonna hang up the gear for a week and just relax and party.

First off it's 'St Paddys Day' if you say St Patty in Ireland you will be laughed at Padraigh is Irish for Patrick hence shortened to Paddy, somehow America turned it into St Patty. Don't bring your gear,we have no snow in Ireland. Bring a wetsuit and surfboard,it will be pumping in March. Any more Q's on the Emerald Isle ask me
