I am 5'4" and normally ride a 149 board. I had a 154 prior split board, but it was a bit much of a board for me to handle. Mostly just splitting before and after the lifts close at the ski mountain. Not sure if the problem was length, stiffness, and/or weight. I am thinking of getting the new women's specific 148 voile or the 149 prior brandywine. Does anyone have any suggestions? Also wonder if it is worth springing the extra money for the prior brandywine XTC which is a pound less than the regular brandywine. Can't demo anything because I am up here in Juneau Alaska! I would appreciate suggestions.

My wife has an '09 Prior 147 Backcountry split for sale. It's in like new condition since the board ended up being too small for her. If you're interested PM me.
Good luck in your search! It's tough not being able to demo anything and plunking down so much cash.

My wife got the Prior Brandywine XTC last year and likes it. I didn't weigh it before putting all the hardware on, but it felt light in the hand. She has no trouble moving it around in the trees. She is 5'4" on the 154.

I see there is a Venture Zephyr 150 Splitboard on ebay for a great price (not my listing). I would be all-over bidding on this splitboard. But I got my wife last years 154 cm K2 Panoramic splitboard. Similar to you (jpstahl), my wife is 5'3" and rides a 150 cm snowboard.. So I hoping a 154 cm splitboard. is ride-able for her in the backcountry.
