What if we changed it up? Convict Lake has been played!

How about Lee Vining?

How about a cornfest in spring?

Access to Tioga and other passes provide a hole other side of the Eastside.

What about it?

BTW convict hasn't been played yet.

Funny Mike. I do like the Lee Vining angle. There is plenty of camping spots, a wee bit of rideable terrain, hot springs and if you want a hotel they have a couple of small ones. Not much eats but we can do our own .

1 vote for Kornfest, one of the best parts of the Kalifornia season

Ummmm....Lee Vining + corn season = MO MART!

As someone who has difficulty committing to anything snow related more than a couple days out, and who would likely be camping no matter where this may be held, my opinion doesn't really matter here. But this is just as good a spot as any, so long as the motels aren't booked with fishermen. Tons of terrain within a reasonable drive, a bit closer to Reno airport. Corn season might be good with the Donner Split Party taking place during winter.

Korn Season would also give the green light to the Uber steep terrain of the Plateau

Camp out, eat Momart food, ride Korn on BIG terrain, then soak in some hot springs. Sounds like we need to find a date.

How about one of the first 3 weekends in June?

Not memorial weekend of course, but would people come the weekend after memorial day? Tough call. Then you are getting late....if its a very lean year. But, it would be nice to have the saddlebag shuttle option too.

I rather enjoy that area earlier in the season and before 120 opens. Less folks, plateau lines are in better conditions and more options for stuff like wood, gibbs, etc.

a full blown event is always cool, but even a "get together" works for us. :)

How about closer to the opening weekend of fishing season? Maybe 1 week afterwards...

And while I am a Mo-mart fan, I would be grabbing a Mono-rito as my breakfast option :headbang:

I bet renting a house in June Lake will be cheap this winter. Close to a lot of lines!

I'm hoping to spend a week or two in and around the east side mid to late May. :headbang:
