Hey,

Has anybody had any success hanging snowboards on a wall for show, when not riding them? What works and what doesn't? I'm renting, so something minimally invasive would be best. Anybody have any cool tips/pics in regards to this they want to share?

I've used a piece of MDF attached to the wall studs with long screws and then placed wood eye bolts on either side of the board waist (without screwing these into the wall). You simply put the board in place on a narrower section of the sidewall and let it slide down into place, works like a champ. If you are worried about the boards falling (earthquake, etc.) you can run some bungee through the eye bolts.

Well Snurfer's solution and many other shop solutions are simpler, prettier and probably cheaper.

But if you have no wall space like I used to, you can build a rack out of a bunch of PVC and then drill that into some studs.

A couple years old but gets the point across.

I've used these before to mount my vintage collection. Soft rubber mounts and can mount vertically and diagonally.

you barely notice them, just looks like the boards are stuck to the wall ;]

apologies for all the clutter, but you can get an idea ;] Works like snurfers setup, except lined with rubber so they are grabby and angled in to make sure it cant fall straight out (though not so sure that would be much of a problem even with a setup like he has)

Thanks for the ideas. I'm trying something with some EZ-achors (hold up to 50lbs!) and spacers from an old brake pad. Basically the EZ anchors are mounted wider than the waist of the board, but narrower than the tip. You can hang the board easily and I didn't have to pre-drill or anything. Here are some pics showing how it worked with the wife's board. I'll be putting up a few more for mine!
