Our friends at Jones Snowboards sent us this video of their rider Yuta (pronounced like Utah) Watanabe from Japan who resides in Whistler B.C. hitting the famed Aussie Couloir on Joffre Peak. The film is in Japanese but has English subtitles and gives a cool perspective of his experience.

Nice work! A few of us were at Keith's hut while this crew were filming and while we talked a lot of crap about Aussie Couloir we all made excuses why we shouldn't do it. Evidently Yuta decided to slay it.

sick and a little crazy to do it in those conditions.
I thought the aussie couloir was in the joffree lakes basin and not the near Keith's hut. Or did they approach over the glacier into the basin?
Yep it's the back of Joffre which Keiths hut looks right at,access is up the Anniversary GI(past Keiths hut) to col between Matier and Joffre, then down onto Slalok GI which is the base of the couloir
