I could see use of "raduction" as a way to help beginers on the skin track, my first season I had some trouble geting my kick turns down, But after that I was all about A longer board, but not to much, just 3-6cm longer and no wider...

I love short boards, first time i got chest down toe side craves on Minnesota ice was on a 95 143 Morrow Lunchtray, i've taken my 125 mini down the most technical faces at Moonlight basin, i am stoked to get some Edisons on a Spliff
I was super skeptical of the nug when I first saw it, then our B rep brought a demo up to our hill... Rode it in 4-6 inches of fresh... Got off the lift and immediately bailed into the trees..tentatively at first bc I was expecting to cartwheel instantly but after a few turns I was charging as hard as I could. 6 ft and 220 lbs on a 150 was mind-bottling to me. The thing was ridiculously nimble, tree riding was insanely fun. Ran it through the all terrain types(groomer/trees/bowl) and not having the extra 10 cm of board tripped me out at first but as long as I didn't look down I could barely notice. Handled nuking groomers just fine. It even made the lovely moguls at the end of our bowl outrun not as shitty. That being said, if I came across a used one for a good price I would definitely pick it up to add to the arsenal.
