Sorry, no splitboard content. We are running out of snow over here. Here some shots from today on South Ridge of Superior w/ wasatchsurf.
Suicide Chute:
Scrambling above the Suicide(left)/Homicide(right) saddle; Snowbird (and the Powderbird heliport) in background:
There's a bit of exposure. Observing the 3 points of contact rule:
It's a great scramble. Did see some fresh tracks in Cardiac bowl, there's still snow there. You could prolly ride 1000' of vert there if ya felt like lugging the plank up. I guess I don't... anywho, Thanks Dan for the day!

Hey guys I went on a nice bike ride yesterday up Emigration canyon then north on 65. Does anyone know if 65 is open in the winter time? There looked like some super fun lines could be had there with very easy access from the road. Also thinking of hitting Timp Sunday if anyone wants to join. I gotta get my July turns in......

East Canyon road (65) is closed in the winter. You can access that area from Kilyon and City Creek Canyon's in the winter, but it can be a slog. Some folks use a bike to approach from City Creek and hit Grandview Peak. Also anything beyond Big Mountain west of highway 65 is private land

Chris- that was such a fun day. I wish I was there again instead of burning up in this damned heat we've had all summer. Get a hold of me if you come out next winter

Well ran up to Timp today. It was a pretty nice. Coverage is a joke compared to last September. It was fun being out on snow and here is how the perm snow field looks.

Got some July turns last week up in the PNW. Summitted and skied Mount Adams and Mount Hood. Took an alternate route on Adams to avoid the crowds, which weren't too bad since we summitted on a Thursday. Cold weather on Adams had us change our descent plans to instead ski the SW Chutes, which lived up to their reputation as one of the longest, most consistent fall line corn runs in the US. Hood was a zoo, but fun. Lots of people incredulous that we were carrying skis and boards to ride off the summit. I don't think I would ever do a volcano without my split. I can't imagine walking down one of those things.

Hopefully everyone is having a good summer. I am trying to plan my winter and a buddy and I were talking of doing a Yurt trip. Does anyone recommend a certain yurt based on really good terrain? I know Utah has quite a few, but we are just looking for one of the better yurts to stay at.
