1st choice: 6/16 weekend
Okay so 95% sure I will be up there 6/16 to 6/18 with at least one other skier. I'm thinking Brewer Creek Saturday/Sunday and then a quick day tour Monday morning before heading back to the bay area.
We could set up a Friday night / Saturday morning meeting spot if anyone else is gonna be up there! Would be good to see you guys!

I'm game for the weekend coming up. I'll probably head up friday unless there's a different plan. I may even head up tuesday. I dunno yet. It should be nice. It's only a mile out from the trail head according to the website posted today. I second the new thread motion.

I'm game for that Tex. I'll head up around that time too. We can shred some neve. Pretty sure I'm heading up this weekend as well. It should be spectacular, with the weather, new snow and big grande. Man I love that mountain.
Anybody? Lot's of crickets in here now... I'm game for the 6/29 weekend. Might be able to swing the next two weekends as alternates with some finagling. Although this would be my third time on Shasta, I'd rather not go solo just because my other visits were up the standard avy gulch route and not the H-W ridge.
I put a summer wax coat and hung up my board for the year. Cya next winter I'm focused on the melted form of Shasta for the rest of the summer. Have fun the turns will be worth it.

minus a rare post-rock climbing or MTB patch session, I think I've hung em up for the season as well.
Just working on my TR from last weekend now ... pretty good but the soft overnight freezes didn't make for the most epic riding conditions. Otherwise, piece of cake going in and out from Brewer. Other than making the mistake of approaching from HWY 97 and driving my Subie on that shitty road from the north, instead of from the south.

Photo from 6/19 looking back up the HW where the riding transitioned from rad to connect the snow patches (I think this is roughly 9000). Upper part was excellent. I am sure the dirt walking from Brewer is growing quickly but the upper is still worthy. From Brewer a clean off rinse in the McCloud/Lower Falls is close by and a great way to finish up the day.
That same time period it was dirt to Horse Camp and Hidden Valley was maybe half melted out. Shasta is awesome.
