Managed to pick up a bargain, pretty much mint non rocker Khyber Perfect for my next board with which I'm going to use the Voile Universal System so I have some stance adjustability.
Chopped her to find two filled insert voids bang on the centre line to the rear and front of each set of factory inserts Here's one
Any ideas? I'm not at all worried by this find more puzzled.......

Wow, that is a little disappointing to see. It looks like someone goofed and they just filled it in to save from having to trash that core... I really do not like seeing this as it makes me question Prior's commitment to quality, unless this board might have been sold as a second, or???

I'll ask the guy I bought it from. He's fairly well to do with a good few boards, hence the condition of this one. I couldn't see him buying a second TBH.

You have to remember this is in the middle of the board so its not a fucked up insert hole.my guess its a locator/ clamp to profile the core. i split six priors last fall and they all had that so don't worry nothing happened to mine

yup core / base locator to stop misalignment during pressing, means they are serious about the alignment and quality, lucky its a piece of wood or plastic, all my boards and ski's use stainless M6 inserts used as locators and your skill saw wont like them! I'd say leave it and seal it over with the rest of the inside edge. cheers, Rich
