Homemade snowboards

So i was thinking about making my own snowboards and splitboards later this winter, has anyone here done it before, or do you have any examples? What type of wood is used for snowboards, and how do i make a press?

a snowboard is just a wide ski, it's built the same way. That site will tell you all you need to know.

Yeah i know, but it would be cool to see some homebuilt snowboards! The boardcrafter and the skibuilder site was awesome, thanks!
