Anybody have an opinion about the K2 Legend? I'm seriously considering buying and splitting one. Here's a little beta I've acquired:
FREESTYLE POWDER
Unmapped, uncharted, undisturbed, the freedom of the backcountry. The Legend board will take you anywhere you want to go. Whether you are hucking off a cliff or finishing the perfect turn, the Legend is devoted entirely to redefining the ultimate powder riding experience. We designed this board with the help of Canada's premiere powder resort, Island Lake Lodge, and pro rider Brian Savard. "The slight shaping of the long nose and tail gives this board awesome floatation, combined with the twin tip, short running length and quick side cut. It has the ability to spin quickly off the lip and turn fast in the trees. I ride the Legend full time, in all conditions." - Brian
Sidecut: Hyper Progressive
Stance: Centered and 1.5" Set Back
Const'n: Hybritech
Core:Multi-Polar
Base:4000 Sintered
Glass:Triax Bottom/Precure Top - Carbon and Kevlar Matrix
Steel:Standard
Those specs are more hype then specs. "Hyper Progressive" sidecut? "Standard" steel? K2 is one hell of a marketing jugernaught. Sorry, no feedback on the board, but that kind of rider endorsed dribble makes me laugh.

Ecobrad has volunteered to help the site (and the site's mission) out in a few areas so I'd like to take this opportunity to offer him the use of one of my splitboards.
Eco, you can use my 165 Burton if you don't mind using the Burton interface. Just come up and get it.
HYPER PROGRESSIVE
Fine-tuning the Dual Progressive sidecut by creating a more gentle tip and tail blend, combined with a tighter radius in the center for performance at low and high speeds.
guess I'll let you look up what they're Dual Progressive sidecut is on your own.
hmmm...that took me a couple seconds to go to K2's website to see their definition.
as far as the "Standard" Steel edges...that means they aren't "STAINLESS" steel so they might rust easier.
....they seem to have added actual numbers to their specs. That was what I really was interested in my original post. I was either looking at an earlier version of the site, or I missed it.
Yup, Donek rocks my socks- Incline 164, mmmmmm........
