Would be stoked to hear from anyone who's had a chance to demo two or three of these splits and how they compare.

am sure the helix won't be as hard charging as the solution or the raptor, so am most curious between the raptor and solution.

I've ridden the Raptor, but have not had a chance to ride the split Raptor. That's mostly because there isn't one yet. I am supposed to get my paws on the prototype for a few weeks when they make it. I'll put up a review then. Imo, that board is going to be pretty hard to beat.

Here's a review of the Helix that I posted a couple of months ago.

I should mention that I'm now on a Zephyr-R 170 and am even happier than I was on the Helix.

Actually I've heard that the Helix is SUPER ripper! Had a great convo with Will about it, and there is actually a ton of functionality to having a twin-tipped backcountry board. All Ventures are super damp and stable.... I for sure would consider rocking that thing full time... Plus, Venture has amazing customer service...

Hey Bones - have you ridden that Zephyr in any kind of firm conditions yet? I'm kinda thinking of a Zephyr to replace my Mojo as a go-everywhere board. Not sure if I want the rockered or cambered version.

I haven't had the Zephyr in anything more firm than mooshy warmed up pow. It performed well in those conditions (big surprise  ). Skinning up icy, firm skintracks has not been any more difficult than it was on a cambered Divide.

My brother rides a solid Helix-R as his resort board in Crested Butte (icy, firm all year) and he loves it in all conditions. My inbounds boards are NS Legacy-RC's (166 and 174) and I have yet to find conditions where the reverse camber/rocker has failed.

As a side note, late last season I switched back to my cambered Skunk Ape as a comparison and was very disapointed with the performance on all surfaces. For my part, once I rode a rockered board, I couldn't switch back to camber and get the same enjoyment.

**Not trying to hijack Logan, just answering SF's question with as many details as I can.**

sorry for the O.T.

bones, why did you make the switch to the Zephyr-R? Why did you choose the Zephyr-R over a Storm-R?

Basically, I like the more centered stance and less taper of the Zephyr. In my opinion, the Zephyr is the best all around board that Venture makes.

I know you haven't had the Zephyr very long, but have you had to shift your weight back to float the nose, or has the rocker profile kept the nose on top?
