How does the Voile "Split Decision Backcountry Snowboard" ride? This is one of the original Voile splitboards, Sky blue graphics and orange ""Split Decision"
I am thinking about getting an old 157cm splitty (for less than $100) for my wife (5'3" / 120 lbs) to try splitboarding. She is still learning to ride some and is at the advance beginner level (able to link some turns) and is currently riding a 150cm Burton Malalo in soft boots.
I would like her to ride a splitboard in AT set up (Scarpa Magic Boots and Dynafit bindings/Sparks adapter plates).
My wife has a nice 156 AT ski with Scarpa Boots and Dynafit bindings for the backcountry. Eventually we will have the Split DIY the Malalo or purchase a new splitboard . Also have a Nitro "Retro" Swallowtail 171 to DIY spilt for her as well.
Just would like to hear from some one about how the old Split Decision Backcountry Snowboard" rode in the backcountry and what were the limitation if any.

It s $100, and if it come swith skins... Man thats a smokin' deal.. who cares if its a noodle... The HB set up will help, and that ll get your wife into it... then you can drop a Grand... and buy her a real board for your anniversary or something.. .I say buy it. Then sell here on Sb.com..

How is your wife liking the voile mojo? I am getting ready to purchase my first splitboard and am looking at both the venture and voile boards. I am 5'3" 115lbs (w/o gear, pack, boots) and am wondering if the 154 is right sized or a little too long. Any feedback is much appreciated!
