Anyone ridden one or both of these? I'm wondering how they compare, particulary flex wise, to each other and the S-Series.

-Prior Backcountry - 165, 26 cm waist, 9.5m sidecut, 4 mm taper

-Venture Zephyr - 165, 26 cm waist, 9.22 sidecut, 7 mm taper

I've had a 166 Mojo which felt like trying to turn an 8' 2x12 to me, way too stiff (I'm 6', 160 lbs w/o gear). Last year I rode a 162 S-Series which I liked but was a bit soft with the extra pack weight and it had the known issue of the nose/ tail clip coming undone on anything other than powder :nononno: . (Burton actually warrantied the board for that, but sent the same thing, and this years model looks to have zero changes other than color. So I have that for now but assuming it might have the same clip issue.). I live and ride in Oregon/ PNW but get up to Canada-eh regularly.

I like the look of the Storm-R but not ready to jump on the rocker/ semi-rocker/ camber-rocker bus until I demo a few this winter. Well, and stock is looking slim right now.

Thanks!

I have a 157 Zephyr, non-split with the 26 cm waist. It's a great all-arounder with a mid-stiff flex pattern. Really does a great job of holding a line in chop but is still soft enough to be playful. I like the big spoon nose and 7 mm of taper for floating in the soft UT pow. It's a quiver-killer board for those who don't ride much park. Only downside is Venture's tend to be a bit heavy. I suppose a splitty version would be just about awesome.

I don't have enough experience with the Mojo and have not ridden an S-Series of Backcountry so no comment as far as comparison goes.
