I must say, used the cheat sheets today for the first time with a brand new pair of skins. I can't imagine the struggle i'd have pulling those things apart when my older skins still gave me trouble. so far.. so good and i plan to keep using them
one thing i noticed, my brand new skins don't have the cheater strip that runs down the middle of the skin like my older version skins.

If it's cold (below freezing) you can just roll your skins up [snow side out]. Guy in my avy class last weekend told me about this and I've been rolling ever since. When you need them just flick them out like a probe and put them on the ski. Just wish I'd known this when I started last season...
*****Just make sure you unroll before you take the skins in the house, warm vehicle, etc...

I've never needed cheat sheets...but I have older skins with the blank strip down the center so there is a bit less glue than on new ones. I re-glue mine every season and have no problems tearing them apart, no matter what the temp is.
I also don't see a real need for tail clips, even if my tails get a bit of snow on them it never seems to matter. If you are out in the backcountry and you do get some snow in your skins, just fold them up and put them against your body in your jacket for 5 minutes and you will be good to go again.

I have problums with my skins on long tours and after taking them on/ogg a few times. the last cuple inches where I grab my skins to peal them apart the glue is kinda spotty. I tryed this today and it worked perfect!
