I have a ~1999 Voile Split 66 (166)... I have an opportunity to get a Venture divide 07/08 at a really good price. I ride in CO, CO snow, etc.

How much different do you think the boards are? It's a 9 year difference in age, my voile is in great shape, but the idea of a new venture is so tempting. Can anyone sell me on this?

Are you serious, your Voile must be a wet noodle. The Venture will be a much better ride.

Thanks. I just didn't know if the shape was comletely different, or maybe a differenc in weight. My voile does not have very much use, still pretty stiff really. The bottom is perfect. I'd actually be looking to sell the voile setup after I get the new one : )

Being in CO, I can craigslist it pretty fast (that's where I got it)... or maybe a spare for a friend.

Not an issue anymore.... 2 new boards this year, both on sale, total less than $900.

I'll be coming through Durango after thanksgiving from phoenix. How's the snow down there late November?

There isn't a whole lot right here in Durango but a short drive north will get you just about all you could ever hope for. As far as the snow goes, if this weather keeps up we'll have great coverage in a matter of weeks so I'd bet by the end of November things will be awesome. Bring your avy skills though, these peaks can be really unforgiving.
