Hey, has anyone else had this problem?
I bought a Spearhead split 178 earlier this season and have recently picked up a pair of Voile crampons for spring tours. Just got them, however they don't fit on my board. They are wide enough for the board, but they don't match up with the touring bracket.
Before I bought these crampons I had a look at Sparks (both binding and crampons). From the info on the Sparks website, it seems that I have an older Spearheads have the touring bracket offset. Just measured and it's 19 mm on one side and 25 mm on the other so definately have offset touring brackets.
Does Voile make offset crampons as well? Is there anything else I can do other than upgrade to sparks to get crampons to fit my offset board?

We do make a crampon that is 145mm width, that is the inside dimension. The normal ones are 137mm. Keep in mind these are centered and not off-set. Putting on site today. How much more clearance do you need?

Thanks for the info Dave. I also emailed Prior asking them about the issue. They quickly wrote me back and let me know they sell special offset versions of the Voile crampons (great service). I'm guessing they did a big custom order with Voile.
Since I already bought a pair from a company here in Switzerland I am torn on what to do. Especially since shipping from Canada to Switzerland is expensive and i need them now for spring touring. I was hoping someone had a creative solution.
The closest I have come so far is to only use them in floating mode without connecting to the touring bracket. However to do this I would have to shave at least 2 mm of material from one side of the center plastic piece. But I am worry this might make the crampons too loose. Also think I might need to add an additional hole to the base plate. Any other ideas out there?
Might just return them and order Sparks with Mr Chomps now instead of next year like I planned.
