I just mounted my new burton 68 with voile hardware. Eveything went on nice except the climbing bracket. It can't be tightened down, so there is quite a bit of movement. I will either throw a washer on top or maybe a gasket on the base of the bracket to shim things up. Has anyone else had this problem?

I've had that problem - instead of having washers on top of your touring bracket, you could also shave the screws down to the length you need (grinder/grinding disc).... And you do have the plastic gasket/pin guide under the metal touring bracket, right?

hey monk151, thanks for responding to my post. yup...the pin guide is in place. i think you're right about the screw length. alot cleaner than washers on top of the bracket. i will probably go pick up some 10mm screws. as the voile kit comes with 12mm. i wonder if all the burton splits come this way.

mine was doin' the same thing...I just filed the tip off the screws and everything's copacetic.

I had the same problem,i went and bought 10mm screws and used medium strength loctite on the threads.They haven't come loose.
