Does anyone know if the Burton 2014 splitboards will come with the channel this coming season or not.
Looking at the catalogue:

they still use the old voile inserts.
Would be ashame as this board with Spark Magneto that would be the killer setup.

I'm pretty sure they won't. Burton would never publish images of a production board with different specs than what they planned to market. I'm not exactly sure a channel system, like they have now, would ever effectively work on a split.

Interesting that they don't show the Landlord splitboard in that catalog. That is the one that was shown at the tradeshows with the Magneto and the special pucks, using the channel system. Saw it in person at the Baker splitfest. My understanding was that only the Landlord split was going to have the channel system for this year, but that it might move to their other splits soon.

If they are not launching it why do they send it out for tests?

Nice to see the splitboard is the first board in the catalog. Craig would be very happy.

Last year, Burton released a women's specific, that I think was called the anti-social. It received very little advertisment space, eventhough it was their first woman specific split. I don't even think it was in their '13 catalog. Maybe they are taking a similiar route with the landlord, possibly just to put out feelers?

The Anti-Social is a stupendous board. My wife LOVES hers. If the Landlord were tha dude-oriented analog, it'd be the shiz. Especially with channels and Magnetos. :bananas:

The landlord is a late release ahem 2015 early release. I think it's a late October release

Meaning October this year, right? I hope so.

Here's a pic of Will Ritter with the Landlord split, fresh out of the bag at the Baker splitfest back in March:

Kind of weird they wouldn't have it out this season. After showing it off at SIA and all...
