Got a question on powder boards. What are swallowtail boards like? I've never been on one in real conditions. I've got several pow-specific boards. I hear they can rail groomers and are great in powder and even trees despite being long. Would something like a Prior Pow Stick really be superior to a Jones Hovercraft or a Venture Euphoria when it's deep and fluffy? A swallowtail and a plate-binding carver are probably the only specific boards I haven't explored.

I know it's a solid but I value the experience here much more than any other snowboard forum. Thanks.

Superior? maybe not if you are a smaller rider and like riding nose up in pow.
If you are a bigger rider and/or open minded, I'd say yes. I have no experience on the Euphoria, but the experience I have with unusual boards, says its probably awesome!
In either case a classic swallowtail is a completely different ride than any other board design. Not saying better, but completely different.
I ride two traditional swallowtail splits in the backcountry; a 176 and 195 and a 180 solid on the groomers. I also have a tiny little 163 twin tip modified with a swallow-cut, but its just for playing around in the shallows and is not a swallowtail.
