Burton S-Series 165 with S-Series hardwre and plates with Nidecker NX700 bindings and Gecko skins
_________________ One day it will be a Jones or Venture and a set of Karakorams Now it's Burton S-Series 165, old Nidecker bindings and Gecko skins ... Times change so now the stoke is on Tesla system and Afterburner bindings and K2 Ultrasplit...
Seems a bit too heavy to me actually, considering that my board is larger?
I think the Prior XTC carbon construction is just really, really lightweight, because my Lib Tech TRS with the exact same hardwear is heavier too and its' a 164. I'm always a bit surprised most manufacturers don't specify weight of snowboards on their website. They brag about lightweigh construction and materials all the time, why not back it up with some actual weights?

It is light, however my statement above referred to my Venture Zephyr 169.

I fully agree, this really sucks! Big bonus for Prior, for naming weights.
However... talking about claimed weights: Prior Spearhead XTC 178 according to manufacturer: 3440g Real weight: 3713g

I`ve got a Prior BC XTC and a Prior BC Standard. I don`t know the exact weights, the XTC feels a bit lighter but the surface shrinks easier than the one of the standard. I prefer the standard board. For me it`s important that the board is reliable, stable and stiff, some gramms more or less are not important at all. We all carry lots of things with us (cameras, clothes, poles, helmet, drinks etc.), if one wants to "weightwatch" the consequence is to switch to skies (but not freeride). The better way for me is to optimize one`s fitness and the technique of ascending, but everyone has to decide for him/herself.
