I own a very gently used Arbor Abacus 164. Its very pretty and obviously makes me feel one with nature. BUT, I have been riding Lib and GNU boards for the last 5 years and prefer the rocker profile that they use compared to the Arbor rocker profile. So....
My local shop has a T.Rice split 161.5 on clearance ( they do not have a 164.5) The specs on the 2 boards are a little different (Lib iswider, feels a little stiffer, shorter). What do people think? Will I be giving up float and stability going from a 164 Abacus to a 161.5 T. Rice?

Not sure if this is helpfull, as I didn't ride the Arbor... but I was riding with somebody with a 164 Abacus Split last year, and he seemed to be a lot faster than me (on a 164 T.rice) in the flat parts. I figure if he has much less float, he can't be going that much faster in pow right? He's also heavier than me.
Stability is not really a problem with the T.rice, it's fine at high speed too. But really I think you want a 164.
