I know there's some bad feedback out there on atomic's interface, but there's a 171 on clearance at Evo, and until midnight tonight there offering an additional 20% off. The board itself seems sweet, and you could always change over hardware eventually.
So- that's $450 for Board, Bindings, Split Hardware, Skins, and Crampons, shipped!
Great way to get into it cheap. I almost want to do it for another backup/ buddy board/ guide service rental, but figured I'd throw it out here for the SB'ers as I can't justify the investment right now.
While I admit the interface of this board is a pain it really does ride sweet. Best thing of all you can take the interface off and put on standard bindings!
$450 for Board, Bindings, Split Hardware, Skins, and Crampons is such a great deal!
I like the idea of throwing standard Voile parts on one. Anyone ever try this? Looking at pictures of the board it appears that you might need to drill some extra holes for the touring hardware. Thoughts?
its possible to modify the atomic bracket to fit. cut the bracket in half, and drill new holes to where it will fit the width of the slider plate. then drill out the holes so that the pin can slide through it.
also played with the idea of making a riser plate to convert it to standard voile 3 hole design. would also work well.
