Donek Snowboards is working on some new, versitle and durable shapes intended for big mountain, off piste, all conditions riding. Although the new shape is in the early testing process, the results from test board #1 were fantastic. The plan is to get the shape (flex, camber profile, rocker, variable side cut radius ect) dialed and then turn it into a splitty for some testing before the snow turns to poo. More to come, stay tuned!

No, not Zack. My name is Mark Kress. I have been working with Donek helping with testing and development of alpine/race boards for the last few years. Sean has willingly decided to develop new powder/all mtn shapes this season and is desireous of developing these shapes into splitboard offerings. Proto #2 is out of the press and has some snow time on it, some of the changes were good, some not so good. Proto #3 will be pressed this week and hopefully the snow gods will give us some good testing conditions. One of the primary concerns of the development of this deck is to make is as light as possible and still be durable. A proto split should be on the snow sometime next month. Think Snow!

Its really more intended to be a broad/all conditions board. Big variable sidecut, super light weight carbon construction, and rocker designed and built to handle the largest range of riding conditions(glades, trees, chutes) and snow conditions imagineable. Most of the boards I have ridden are good in one area or another but lack in overall ability or shoddy construction. This deck is built to excel in the broadest range of conditions possible and handle them all with gusto. I wanted something for the BC that handle it all and not leave me wishing that I was riding something else. If your looking for something new and better, drop Sean Martin at Donek Snowboards a note. www.donek.com
