I've got a reservation at Friends Hut for Friday and Saturday, May 1 and 2.
The huts sleeps 8 people, and right now I've got at least 3 spots left. It could open up to more as people keep dropping out.
The hut is located midway between Aspen and Crested Butte, on the south side of Pearl Pass, very close to Castle Peak. You can access the hut from either town, although the Aspen route is a bit shorter, and also allows some skiing down to the hut after crossing over the pass (as far as I know, the Crested Butte route is pretty much a long casual skin/hike up a creek drainage).
From the hut, there is plenty of skiing available for all skill levels. The prominent extreme route is the 'June Couloir' on Star Peak, directly above the hut. You can research this route and others in 'Lou Dawsons Guide to Colorado Backcountry Skiing' I definitely plan on tackling this line if the snow conditions are good.
Consider this an open invitation. I've already paid for the hut a year ago, so don't worry about paying me back (but you're welcome to pack in a couple of Budweisers for me if you'd like ) . I'd just like to fill it up with some fun folks for the weekend.
Let me know if your interested and also PM me with your email address so I can include you on group emails.

I'm bumping this to see if I can recruit any last-minute stragglers on this trip next weekend. Send me a PM that includes your email address if you're interested.
