Never been to Shasta, but have researched heavily, & have been wanting to split & camp for full moon in May (8-10). Anyone interested? I would be going via SF most likely, but could go from Portland. The Dead are at Shoreline on the 10th, too - it may be too much, but would be great to include both for a "split your face" weekend.

Man , I d love to go up for a full moon ,and camp on Shasta, as I have been on it twice and never made it to the top for all kinds of different reasons.
THough , on the otehr hand I will be headin to Mountian view for that Dead show as well ,and find some solace in the Water instead of the slopeside and skin track, as I do surf and am yearning to get back in the water.
Can t wait...to Steal my face, and as for Shoreline ...Its an amazing Venue...
I would think about early June at Shast , if you are thinking of changing your date...
Keep me in mind

Are you guys still thinking of doing the shasta climb/ride down? I've heard that a one day push is doable and one can carry less gear, but I've also got the four-season tent and all that if we're camping.
Don't have much "mountaineering" experience but taking a weekend mtneering class at LTCC at end of April.
