Any body out there from this area want to get together and ride? I'd like to go up French Creek or Hoosier or Vail pass with someone who knows the area a bit better. I'm a new splitter but experience snowboarder. I took an Avy 1 with CAIC at A-Basin last year and I want to get out and put some skills to use and have some fun in the BC.
Maybe even do Quandry? Let me know if you are interested.

I'm starting to lose hope. Come one guys/gals there has to be somebody out there who wants to go out and ride.
I can shred with anyone, I just don't have anyone who has the gear and knowledge to go into the BC.
My friends I ride inbounds with don't seem to have any desire to learn about Avalanches or get avalanche gear, and as a result I don't want to go out of bounds with them.
Come on, somebody, anybody, lets go ride!

I wish I had read this post b/c I was sitting in my truck at the Quandary trailhead on Sunday, but after 3 days riding at Breck and not sleeping much, I just cruised home.
What's your schedule like? Can you get out weekdays, or just weekends?

Right now I'm unemployed and in Denver so I'm trying to get the best of it. Weekdays I usually ride solo or meet some people at Berthoud. However on weekends I'm usually riding CO Pass mountains with the girlfriend. But with spring rolling in I've already prepped her on my peak-bagging and couloir-riding aspirations (which she wants little to do with) so I'll be able to get out a lot more on weekends.

Hey Luca, I would love to meet up and ride sometime.
I'd love to bag some peaks, but I'm a bit anxious about Couloir riding. I haven't got a ton of BC experience, so I would like to ease into rather than going out and riding the steepest narrowest gnar right out of the gate. I'm sure I could ride it, but I feel like I should develop some experience first. anyway, my phone number is (edit-removed) if you want to meet up sometime. My name is Ed, btw.

I almost went up Quandry with some friends just as hike this weekend, but ended up rock climbing in boulder instead. Couldn't find a puppy sitter. Unfortunately she is too young and small to do something like Quandry.
If I'm in the area I'll try to take a look though.
