Nat and I are road trippin' to Oregon/Washington between January 30 and February 8. Looks like just in time for the storm track to finally come back to the west coast.
I'll be coordinating with snoslut for some tours but I doubt he can take a week off and be our personal tour guide the entire time, so we may be looking to others to play tour guide or at least give us recommendations on where to go.
We like to be very flexible in order to go where the best snow is, but want to get days in around Crystal, Stevens, hopefully as far north as Baker, and maybe Mt. Hood on the way up or back.
We do want to do 1 mid-week powder day at either Crystal or Baker resort.
Don't know much about central Oregon except around Bend, but we are not planning on driving the 97. Is it worth checking out Williamette Pass or around Mt. Bailey (don't think we'll spring for the cat tour).

My schedule is pretty flexible mid-week a lot of the time so I'd be up for something during that time. Lets hope we back to our regularly schedule program by then.

thanks for the replies and PM's.
But, WTF is going on with the forecast. Looks promising for next weekend the other day with consistant rain/snow in the forecast, now it is totally backing off. I do know not to trust Accuweather.
Since our goal is to ride "good" snow, we will be chasing it where ever it falls. So we may re-direct to Utah, but we do really want to go up to the PNW.
Playing it by ear right now. I'll send PM's to ya'll mid-week to coordinate tours.
Snowing in Tahoe/Sierra, but we don't want to spend a week in our backyard.

Yeah, at the moment the forecast the PNW isn't looking so hot for the next week. Looks like maybe a small bit of precip on Tuesday/Wednesday but nothing after that at the moment.

Well we had a great roadtrip. It was cool riding with snoslut, jcocci and ale capone at Baker.
Kyle- sorry to hear about your injury. Heal up quick dude.
It turned into a volcano tour: Baker, Rainier, Shasta and Lassen. We bolted back to CA for the new snow after sleeping in the Crystal lot Thursday night to find no new snow on Friday.
Yesterday at Lassen was 12 - 16 inches of cold blower to end the vacation.
