NP dude! Actually I finally had a chance to tour with a couple of guys that I've been trying to hook up with all season. We hiked Kendall which wasn't great but still it was better than fighting the crowds at Alpy. I din't file a TR because I was buried in work this week and I'm not sure it's worthy of a TR.

Would love to hook up with some of you PACNW splitters still this year. Hope the Splitfest gets worked out!

OK, here's the shots:

Hey everyone. I'm a Colorado dude making my first visit to WA next week. I'm going to be attempting Rainier on the weekend of May 9-10 with my buddy who lives up in the Olympics. After that, I'll be staying with him for the rest of the week. While he's working M-F, I'd like to check out the local backcountry. I should be able to borrow his car. Would anyone in the Olympic or Seattle area want to show me around during the week? (May 11-15)

Thanks!
Adam

Adam,

I usually have a day or two off during the week depending on work schedule. Touch base closer to that week.

So I landed at SEATAC a few hours ago and took a bus to Lakewood. First thing I have to say is everything is so f***ing GREEN! Its pretty, but maybe that's just because I had so long to study the flora because we sat in gridlock traffic for hours on the bus. Damn its crowded out here. Just like San Fran. I don't know how you west coaster guys deal with it. It kind of makes me feel like I take Denver for granted. It is a cattle town compared to the west coast.

Its actually pretty sunny. I was prepared for the worst. I'm still looking out for Mt. Rainier. Haven't seen it yet. I'm sure it will blow my mind.

Down to business: we're heading to Rainier NP tonight. Gonna see how far we can make it up the mountain in the next three days, then coming to the Olympics and have no real plans. I've PM'd a few of you but I'll just throw out my digits. 970-989-8053. Give me a call if you're going out during the week.

Adam

Any one want to go to Chinook Pass on Sunday? We are a group of 4 so there's room for a couple more. We're meeting up early, so be forewarned.

Sunnny days and Chinook Pass is what the start of Summer is all about in the PacNW! Come on and join in the fun. I'm loading up the cooler with ales right now!
