6000 ft snow level and mad precip in the NW.....hmmmm...I think snow is falling right now

Yup and proly gone by tomorrow. What a tease. The new snow that has fallen so far has turned to chowder quickly.

North = more snow, cloudy. South = less snow, more sun.

Hood had a coat of white last Friday. Can almost ride down to the car and its August.

Snow looked minimal from what I've seen. I'm having a hard time getting stoked about a few inches of windblown on suncups when theres overhead swell going on. Surf was real good at the end of last week in oregon. Thinking of heading out to westport for friday if anybodys interested.

hate to shut down the stoke, but i can see Hood, Adams, and Helens all from my place here in PDX and they are all just as brown as they were before the recent precip.

I have a good feeling we might be seeing a major change in the weather. Snow levels are droppin. I might hot wax the shred sled for fun tonight.

I think you are right!

A colder air mass "will invade the region" behind the current cold front on Tuesday, sending snow levels to the 3,500 to 4,000 foot range, the weather service said in a statement.

Mountain elevations above 4,000 feet could see 1 to 3 inches of snow by the end of the day Tuesday.

Lets just hope it keeps coming. I hope to get some riding in by the end of the month, anyone else with me?

Playing it by ear and watching the webs here. Original plan was up by baker...but there seems to be more precip down south as of now. Open to suggestions. I imagine we'll make the call this eve.. after the days events have passed. Give a shout if your interested.

Was just curious as to where you though there was going to be snow. Doesn't look like its snowing as low as it said it was. I'm actually heading for a hike up near Shuksan tomorrow. Have fun and report back what you find.
