I just split my old friend Johan as my first split board. It took me about three hours to divide and then rebuild my old trusted friend. Now that I'm no longer carrying the snowshoes I have to learn how to skin and glide to get to the return ride. I plan on making some training turns out on the Olypmic Penninsula, but if anyone has some recommendations on non technical areas or are also a beginner looking for someone for a trip let me know. My schedule is fairly flexible, I write it myself. Oh, I'm not new to boarding, I have been boarding actively since 1987, I'm just reinventing myself to get more fitness benefit without carrying all the extra crap involved in snowshoeing to make fresh tracks.
