So for the last 7 years or so, I have made turns on or around my birthday. I'm planning on hiking back to Ptarmigan Glacier in RMNP again this year on Friday Oct 5th, anyone want to come along? Its a long day, 4.5 miles to the base of the glacier (with everything on your back). I have seen it with quite a bit of good snow on it and I have seen it with no new snow on it, so I can't promise anything as far as the quality of the snow. I'm hoping that the snow that fell recently will stick around. The turns are however fairly steep.

I could also be persuaded to go somewhere else.
