I'm still planning on Torrey's NW for this Saturday. I'm not sure how far up the road is passable, so a start time would depend on that. My plan right now is to climb/descend the same chute. The route also gets late sunhit, so factor that into a little later start time, maybe 8 to 9.
What do you think?

Tied up this weekend with Mothers day stuff but would like to get up there on sundays. Looks like tons of snow at copper, could split up there. What about A-basin, anything to split to above the lifts there? They're open till may.

I just read the spec in Dawson's book. 4000 feet of continuous snow! Hell yeah! I'm somewhat of a slow climber so I'd rather start around 7. You coming up from the AFA on I-25 through Denver?

I'll be up in Denver somewhere on Friday night. I've got to finalize some friday night plans, but I think an earlier start is doable.
Would you want to carpool from somewhere in Denver/Golden? I have an Xterra, but I don't think the Steven's Gulch road is very passable yet. Less desirable in my opinion, we could also car shuttle and climb from Loveland Pass, then head out via Bakersville.
I think everything should work out on my end, but there is a slim chance that I might be stuck down here this weekend. If that's the case, I'll let you know as soon as I can.

No worries. I just got an invite to do the North Couloir on Pacific Peak Saturday instead. It'll just be another week before I get over 14,000' this year. I'm not going to be riding on Sunday.
I mentioned before that I'm definitely doing Mt. Sherman on the 19th. Let me know if your interested.

I might be up for Sherman, but its coverage is usually pretty thin. I'm doing Democrat on Tuesday, so I'll try to snag some beta shots for you. If you can get Friday or Sunday, the Boudoir Couloir on Horseshoe is really aesthetic and usually in pretty good shape.
I tried for Sherman last year in May, and ended up climbing, then climbing and skiing Sheridan, as there was nothing continous on Sherman.
