I'm not saying it will happen. Actually, the way this season has gone, I'm sure it won't happen. But if it should somehow happen to snow all day Tuesday, is anyone else up for blowing off work on Wednesday?
We're still up in the air but we're even thinking of making the trek to check out Mt. Rose. Or in SLT area we were thinking of up high and protected. But for sure we are sick of Waterhouse. What do you have in mind, oh junkie of the powdery goodness?
Unhatched chicken counters and jinxers! You've caused the storm to start splitting.
Coverage is still pretty good around parts of the Mt.Rose area, and you can still ride right back to the road. No bushwacking req'd, but a far cry from the 10-ft snowbanks we had at this time last year. If you want something steep though, I'd look elsewhere unless you want to slog way out to get it. If you do go there keep me in mind. I may take time off either Tuesday and/or Wednesday if the snow is substantial.
But I don't count my chickens before they hatch...
I just got back from a couple hours of really really good snow inbounds at Mt.Rose. It's not bottomless, but it's sweet. On Saturday there were still pockets of powder in protected N & NE aspects, so those places would be good this week.
Sooo.... where's everybody going tomorrow? I have a pulled groin muscle from cartwheeling over a hidden rock, but I'm sure I'll still be up for it. The rocks - they like me this season... or hate me.
