Just got up to Revelstoke, picked up my first splitboard from the guys at Trapper and now I'm hoping to meet some splitboarders to ride with this season.

I'm a 22 year old guy from the south coast that rides about 40-60+ days depending on the season and after getting into some sidecountry and steeps the last couple of years I decided to move up to Revy to try an get my riding to the next level, start splitting an get into the backcountry as much as I can

I got all my backcountry gear, first aid training and I'm going to be getting my AST 1 asap but have read up on a lot of the material already and have some experience hiking sidecountry around Baker, Big White and a bit of Whistler. I'm hoping to meet some people to get into the backcountry safely and even just ride some slackcountry around the resort. I have a car and could drive to Rogers Pass or further for a trip, just give me a P.M or reply on here and we can meet up for a beer in town (on me!) anytime and hopefully get to do some early season shredding!

Cheers
Mitch

You'll probably meet tons of people on the parking lot at Rogers Pass - lots of seasoners heading up there for touring. Just head up there in the morning and hang out by the entrance of the visitors center with your board and you'll have a crew in about 3 minutes. Maybe 4.

I am also new to Revelstoke. I have spent some time in the area years gone by, but living here for the season.

I have a few years backcoutry exp, splitting, climbing, etc. I am not working this winter, focusing on touring, multiday trips, etc.

Give me a shout or text on 604 849 0955 or email at bshandro at gmail dot com

Cheers,

Bret
