Only place around here I can think of is texas meadow/playground; places down south are still too thin to worth the effort (I think, somebody please prove me wrong). But I don't have a Bridger pass so I'll skin in from Bracket. I think the route into Texas is pretty mellow so I don't have to worry about avalanche until I get close to the steeper stuff in playground. And if conditions are sketch, it's not too bad to turn around.
But most likely it'll just be a day to meadow skip, ridding low angle stuff, and get in better shape. Bridger Bowl would definitely be more fun. If anybody is still interested, please pm me and let me know.

word. i was up there earlier in the week and was not too impressed with stability, but i felt confident enough to ski my slope (N. East of TX). Skied Wolverine on wednesday, but have not been back and probably wont for some time. I dont see avy danger in the bridgers approaching anything better than orange or red for awhile.

Hey Bozeman peeps, figured I'd drop in an introduce myself (I've been a lurker)
I'm new to splitboarding this season (and bozeman), want to get out on a trip with some more experienced people soon. I've gone out a few times just to practice skinning and get comfortable with all the new gear...yesterday I parked at the turnoff to east fork in hyalite and went about 2.5 miles in (a little past the TH for east fork hyalite trail) and was fucking exhausted by the time I got back to the car, about 4 hours round trip (that seemed like a really slow pace to me, considering it was mostly flat/rolling. I'm not sure what a normal pace is, but my original goal of making it to Emerald lake will take a couple/a lot more tries).
Getting pretty comfortable with my gear, had to stop a lot to adjust boots and figure out a comfortable stride, but I'm getting better.
Got all my avy gear and just finished up the intro avy workshop with the GNFAC, starting the advanced class tonight.
So next time one of you is headed up for an easy trek I'd love to tag along, don't think I'm ready for anything too far yet!
Hi all, Some douche drunk driver rammed in my car that was parked in front of my house. It was a pretty bad hit that put my car out of commission for now . Long story short, please let me know if you don't mind me tagging along with your group, or if your're looking for a buddy to ride with. I'm up for anything: dawn patrol, sunset ride, meadow skip, big adventure, whatever... I'll be happy to pitch in on gas money, or return the favor once my car is fixed up. Thanks a bunch.
Planning a spring break trip to Bridger Bowl and to hit some BC around Bozeman with my split. Anyone have any reccomendations or wanna try and meet up? March 17-24 ish. If you have a couch to crash on I will provide mucho cerveza.... Hit me up!
