Hi all,

I'm much the same as everyone above, work 5 days with weekends and the odd mid weekday off. AST 1, all avy gear. Been splitting for the past two seasons with ~10 years of riding beforehand.

Advanced rider, VERY safety conscious, believe deeply in avy bulletins & forecasts, pre, during trip discussions.

Would like to ride/tour with like minded people.

I'm not on fb, so pm's are the best way to contact. I'm in PoCo and ready to split!

Hey adding myself to the list here as well. Based out of Van working M-F, but my schedule looks to be fairly flexible this winter! Strong rider, been riding Mammoth and Tahoe areas for 15+ years, but last year was my first year in BC. Mostly stuck to resorts last year but looking to explore the BC backcountry. Will be my first year splitting so wanting to start off with mellow tours and well dont really care what the ride down is like as long as its safe(avy wise).

Just ordered all my avy essentials and should be here soon. Looks like there's a few of us looking to do AST1 course this year as well. Maybe we can get a group together for it?

Had a great day on Needle yesterday, nice snow and good company. Thanks John and Jo for putting up with my slow ass....

Anyway, I'm looking to head out and on Saturday the 12th for a day. Again I'm keen for Coquihalla, Whislter and Baker surrounding areas. PM if interested!

hey guys,
I'm going to be at my cabin near baker this weekend and wanted to go splitting both days as it looks like it might be cold and clear.
I have a friend coming down for one of them (prob Saturday) but looking for others to go with either one or both days.

Hit me up if you're down for some shredding.

Hey Whistler riders, I'm gonna be in town the week of Jan 27 with my gal and my dog. I've been coming to Whistler for over 20 years now (from Seattle) and feel that i'm in a rut with the places I ride. I would love to hook up with a local or two and check out some of your favorite in bounds terrain. We are both fairly strong riders and like the steep and deep, though my GF is more inclined toward hippy pow! Beers on us! We'll be in the Aspens on Blackcomb. PM me!

Looking like I may be in whistler from the 3-10th with my gf's family. Would be nice to get out on a tour or 2 or 3...... Might bring my sled, not to sure on that part of it yet though

Hey, I will add my name to this expanding list.

I'm based in Burnaby, have wednesdays off and weekends off. I might even be able to take a few mondays off if conditions are top notch...
I've been snowboarding for 14 years including 6 years of touring experience. I did my AST1 years ago and I currently lack of touring partners (roommates too busy with grad school..)

I am also planning a hut trip to the Waddington Hut (or maybe keith's hut instead) from the 9th to the 14th of February for our reading break. PM me if anyone of you is willing to join us (we will be 2-3 people)!

Cheers,

Aurel

Damn man, wish I saw your/this post earlier! would have been keen for sure.

Weekend wasn't wasted though, 9 hours of mtb'ing and a new batch of home brew made it pretty sweet...
